Road restrictions will be in place on Queensgate Roundabout starting this Sunday
With the Eastern Bay Link Road nearing completion, road restrictions will be in place for re-surfacing work on Queensgate Roundabout which will start this Sunday (April 23rd)

From 6.00pm on Sunday April 23rd until 5.30pm on Monday April 24th, lane restrictions will be put in place through the Butetown Tunnel east and westbound to prepare for the re-surfacing work.

From 8.00pm on Monday April 24th until 5.30am on April 27th there will be a full night time road closure eastbound through the Butetown Tunnels.

Those travelling into Cardiff via the A4232 (Link Road) during this time will need to exit the Link Road via Grangetown – coming off on Dunleavy Drive, onto Ferry Road, turning right before Ikea onto Avondale Road, then onto Clarence Road, onto James Street and join Lloyd George Avenue. Access westbound - out of the city through the tunnel will be maintained via one lane from Pierhead Street.

On Friday April 28th until 5.30am on Saturday April 29th there will be a full westbound closure through the tunnel with one lane remaining open eastbound via Hemmingway Road/Central Link

Diversion signs will be put in place for the duration of the closures and we would like to thank all road users for their patience while we carry out this essential work.
