Thinking of fostering? Cardiff Council extends an open invitation to attend a Fostering information evening; Monday 18th

Have you ever considered becoming a Foster Carer? If so our fostering team at Cardiff Council are hosting a special information evening on Monday 18, March between 6pm-8pm at County Hall.

The event is an opportunity to find out more, meet the team and chat to some of our foster carers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Fostering with Cardiff Council is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and future of Cardiff's children and young people whilst simultaneously developing skills and earning a competitive income.

In return, our foster carers are provided with excellent training and development opportunities, including nationally recognised qualifications.

The Council has also recently reviewed its payment and benefit packages and provides competitive rates with additional payments for holidays, birthdays and religious holidays.

Cabinet Member for Children and Families, Cllr Graham Hinchey said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has ever considered fostering, to come along, ask questions and hear about real experiences from existing foster carers.

"Our foster carers are an integral part of our team and are committed to helping transform the lives of children and young people here in the Capital. They sit alongside our Foster and Social Care team, offering invaluable insight and input and this demonstrates how respected and valuable they are to our city.

"We hope to see you at the event and hopefully welcoming you into the Cardiff Fostering family."
