Crime & Coffee Festival: The Sequel


The second instalment of Cardiff Hubs and Libraries' Crime and Coffee Festival is on its way.

 

Following a successful festival last year that attracted some of the biggest names in the genre, the event returns next month with another feast for crime and thriller fans that promises to have then on the edge of their seats.

 

The festival will be held from June 3 - 8 at Central Library Hub as well as community hubs and libraries across the city.

 

Supported by theCrime Cymru authors' collective and Welsh & UK publishers, the event will feature talks, readings and panel discussions, plus a workshop where writers can develop their skills with a published author.

 

Topping the bill at the event are authors Belinda Bauer, who returns for a second year and Jasper Fforde who will be joined by Amy Lloyd, Heidi Perks, Sarah Hilary, Kate Hamer, John Lincoln, B E Jones, Geraint Evans, Mick Finlay, Cal Smyth and many more established and emerging Welsh Crime writers.

Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities, Cllr Lynda Thorne, said: "Last year's inaugural Crime and Coffee Festival was a real success and it's great to see the event back for another year. Our hubs and libraries team have put together a fantastic schedule throughout the week, taking the festival into our community hubs for the first time this year as well.

"Crime literature is hugely popular in our libraries and hubs and once again, we're looking forward to welcoming some of the best writers in the field to Cardiff next month."

Coffee at the festival will be provided by Uncommon Ground while Penarth-basedGriffin Books is the official bookseller of the event.
