Based on latest figures from Public Health Wales, data correct as of:

25 October 2020

 

Cases: 1,120

Cases per 100,000 population: 305.3 (Wales: 188.4 cases per 100,000 population)

Testing episodes: 5,791

Testing per 100,000 population: 1,578.3

Positive proportion: 19.3% (Wales: 14.4% positive proportion)

Update on schools affected by COVID-19: 26.10.20

 

Adamsdown Primary School

A positive test in Adamsdown Primary School of one member of staff has been confirmed. 29 pupils and two additional members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

Bryn Hafod Primary School

Positive tests in Bryn Hafod Primary School of two members of staff have been confirmed. 100 pupils and 10 members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. 

 

Ysgol Gynradd Hamadryad

A positive test in Ysgol Hamadryad of one Year 1 pupil has been confirmed. 39 pupils and five members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

Llanishen High School

A positive test in Llanishen High School of one member of staff has been confirmed.  Two additional members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

Ninian Park Primary School

A positive test in Ninian Park Primary School of one member of staff has been confirmed. 24 pupils and one additional member of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

Ysgol Gyfun Plasmawr

A positive test in Ysgol Gyfun Plasmawr of one pupil in Year8 has been confirmed. An additional 14 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

Pencaerau Primary School

A positive test in Pencaerau Primary School of one Year 2 pupil has been confirmed. 29 pupils and three members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

A positive test in Ysgol Pwll Coch of one Year 1 pupil has been confirmed. 40 pupils and six members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

St Monica's Primary School

Positive tests in St Monica's Primary school of three members of staff have been confirmed. 46 pupils and 10 additional members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.

 

Tongwynlais Primary School

Positive tests in Tongwynlais Primary School of two pupils and one member of staff have been confirmed.  53 pupils and five members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
