Bayside, the new Mass Vaccination Centre built on the former Toys R Us site in the International Sports Village, will open on Thursday 25^thMarch, and will serve residents living in Cardiff and Eastern Vale. 

All residents visiting the new Bayside Mass Vaccination Centre are asked to arrive no more than five minutes before the time of their appointment, and if they are travelling by private car, visitors are advised that vehicles should only be parked in the car park for the period required for their appointment. 

Road closures:

There aren't any planned road closures around the vaccination centre, but small diversions may be put in place if there is a requirement during peak times. Staff will be available on site to assist members of the public as they arrive at the vaccination centre. The car park at the Bayside vaccine centre will be available for visitors to use, but parking on adjacent streets or any private housing development close by is not allowed and may be enforced.

If you are travelling by private car, the Bayside vaccine centre is on Olympian Drive, Grangetown, CF11 0JS. 

Can you cycle or walk?

The International Sports Village is easily accessible for local residents by either walking or cycling. Cycling and walking routes are provided over the Cardiff Bay Link Road (A4232), connecting Cardiff Bay to both the International Sports Village and Ferry Road. There is also the Pont y Werin bridge for walkers and cyclists attending the site from Penarth and the Eastern Vale, which links Penarth Marina with the Cardiff Bay International Sports Village. 

Bus

There are a number of bus services available to and from the Bayside vaccine centre. These are: 

Cardiff Bus services: 

• Service 9 (Heath Hospital/Whitchurch Road/Crwys Road/City Road/City Centre & Grangetown
• Service 13 (Drope/Ely/Canton/Butetown)
