Four Cardiff hubs will be offering support to residents yet to complete their Census 2021 forms from next week.

Census Support Centres will be located within Central Library Hub, Ely & Caerau Hub, St Mellons Hub and Grangetown Hub from Tuesday, April 6, 10am to 4pm. Residents who require assistance to complete the form can make an appointment for face to face support from a hubs officer.

Census Day was on Sunday March 21, 2021. Information gathered in the survey, which happens every 10 years, helps decide how services are funded in local areas. By law, each household must complete the census but residents still have time to complete their form and a wide range of support is available to assist those who need it.

A council spokesperson said: "The Council is working closely with the Census to ensure residents have all the support they need to complete the form on behalf of their household.

"This year's Census is digital for the first time and many people will have already completed theirs, having received a unique access code through the post to go online. Others will prefer to complete a paper form or require help in different languages.

"It's important that anyone who needs assistance makes an appointment first. The four hubs delivering support are open for pre-booked appointments only at the moment, as we manage the recovery of services and extra coronavirus safety measures."

Residents can access support by calling 029 2087 1071 or emailingintoworkadviceservice@cardiff.gov.ukMany queries can be dealt with without the need for a face to face appointment but members of the team can arrange a suitable date and time for a hub appointment when necessary.

All hubs are following government safety guidelines about coronavirus. Residents must wear a face covering inside the buildings, unless exempt.

British Sign Language (BSL) support to complete the census is being co-ordinatedby Deaf Hub Wales at 163 Newport Road. Services are currently virtual only. Please emailcensus@deafhub.walesfor further information.
