A consultation which invites members of the public to have their say on existing skateboard parks in Cardiff, is still available to complete online.

Cardiff Council Parks Department are currently undertaking an assessment of skateboard parks across the city and have launched the Skateboard Park Consultation for people to have their say.

As part of the assessment, the Parks Department will be reviewing how the skateboard community currently use the skateboard parks and public spaces.

This will assist the team to improve or replace existing sites, identify new locations, and plan design over the forthcoming years.

Cardiff Council Parks Department have teamed up with award winning consultants,

VDZ+A, to prepare the Cardiff Skateboard Strategy.

As part of the strategy, the team have prepared a survey and would like to hear from the skateboard community & public.

Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Peter Bradbury said:"The plan is to have inclusive spaces for residents and visitors of all ages to socialise and get active.

"We want Cardiff to be a Child Friendly City, where children and young people can have their say on decisions being made that will affect them, so I encourage anyone within the skateboard community to fill out the short survey to help us develop new skate design for the city.

"Your views will help us develop new skate design including park sizes, access options, terrain types and recommended locations for new parks."

The Skateboard Park Survey can be found here: https://wh1.snapsurveys.com/s.asp?k=163187811098
