During a recent inspection by Estyn, Ysgol Glan Morfa in Splott has been praised for its strong values, inclusive ethos and commitment to pupil wellbeing and progress.
Inspectors highlighted the high standards set by school leaders, as well as a clear, comprehensive vision that places pupils' progress and wellbeing at its heart. The report commended the school's strong partnerships with parents, governors, and the wider community, which help provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities.
Particular praise was given to the school's work in developing pupils' personal, social and moral understanding, and its commitment to celebrating and respecting cultural diversity.
The report also acknowledges Ysgol Glan Morfa's strong promotion of the Welsh language and its central role in daily school life. The school is proud to nurture confident Welsh speakers who contribute to the language's continued growth and importance within the local community.

Tomos, Headteacher of Ysgol Glan Morfa, has welcomed the excellent Estyn report, "I am absolutely delighted with the findings of our latest Estyn inspection which recognises that Ysgol Glan Morfa offers a caring, inclusive environment and plays a central role in the life of our community. It is a testament to the dedication of our staff, governors, parents and pupils that we are creating such a supportive and stimulating place to learn."

Estyn made one recommendation to help the school continue to improve which will be addressed in its action plan; Further develop opportunities for pupils to apply their Welsh skills across the curriculum.

At the time of inspection, Ysgol Glan Morfa had 246 pupils on roll. 37.4% of pupils are eligible for free school meals, 5.3% of pupils identify as having additional learning needs and 18.1% of pupils speak Welsh at home.
